This authentic miner’s cabin, a short six-mile drive from Cripple Creek, was originally built in the Ajax Mine on one of the lower levels as an office. In the 1940s, Joseph Thompson had it dismantled and rebuilt in the Athletic Field where the Gold Bowl baseball field is currently located. In 1996, it was moved from the Gold Bowl to its current location.
The historic Victor Hotel is located just six breathtaking mountain miles from Cripple Creek. Originally the Bank of Victor in 1899, the hotel is the largest building in the City of Victor. After many years of neglect, the hotel received a $2 million restoration in 1992 and has been open for business since.
