Cripple Creek Cowboy Gathering - June 14-16, 2013

Grab your boots and your hat and join us for the 2013 Cripple Creek Cowboy Gathering.  Don't miss the American Chuck Wagon Association's Chuckwagon Cookoff, where you can taste delicious competition recipes that are cooked and judged right before your eyes.  We are thrilled to announce the Colorado Pro Rodeo Association (CPRA) sanctioned Cripple Creek Rodeo, an exciting event that offers fierce competition, western entertainment, and prize purses worth fighting for!

Cripple Creek's Western Street Dance

Bring your partner and kick up your heels at Saturday night's Western Street Dance, sponsored by the Triple Crown Casinos.  A beer garden will keep you refreshed and dancing like a superstar, and live entertainment will play your Country favorites. Located in the Brass Ass parking lot, this party will be a great way to unwind and enjoy yourself after a day of chuckwagon and rodeo action!

Texas Longhorn Steer Performances

Keep your eyes open for the Texas Longhorn Steers.  These performing characters will be milling through Cripple Creek looking for photo opportunities on Friday and Saturday, and will be performing tricks that will entertain and amaze!

Schedule of Events

Friday, June 14th:

3:00 p.m. - Chuckwagons are judged and cooking commences, located by the Cripple Creek District
                           Museum.
                   Chuckwagon awards are announced.
                   Cowboy Poetry and singers perform.
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Cripple Creek Rodeo located at the Teller County Fairgrounds.
(Convenient parking areas will be clearly marked, and shuttles will bring you to the fairgrounds.)

Saturday, June 15th:

12:00 noon - Meals are judged and food is served, located by the Cripple Creek District Museum.
4:00 p.m. - Cripple Creek Rodeo located at the Teller County Fairgrounds.
7:00 p.m. - Cripple Creek's Western Street Dance located at the Brass Ass parking lot.

Sunday, June 16th:

Demolition Derby, time to be determined.
