Events

The City of Cripple Creek has a lively history of public celebration and events. You are invited to join us as we host numerous events that have differing themes and activities. Come watch live ice sculptors create works of art during our Ice Festival event. Prefer something warmer? Donkey Derby Days is a great way to kick off any fun-filled summer! Summer events feature our famous donkey races and the 4th of July in the Park, complete with entertainment, street vendors, contests, activities for children and more – there is something here for everyone in the family to enjoy.

As the Summer winds down and Fall is on the horizon, come to Cripple Creek. Our military appreciation event is our way of saying "thank you" to the members of our armed forces and their families. We invite you to join us for this patriotic weekend of fun and live entertainment, historical re-enactments and a solemn memorial. Rev up your engine and come to Cripple Creek for our Fall car show, where Bennett Avenue is transformed into a showcase for the most beautiful rides in the area!

Speaking of engines, drive around the area and see why we're called the "World's Greatest Gold Camp" as our Fall leaves put on a beautiful, picture-perfect show. Our new Mine to Mine Challenge will test the runner in you, and our Halloween Monster Ball is sure to be a spooktacular time!  And when all the fun and games are done, we have one more... The Gold Camp Christmas event is sure to keep your spirits bright with holiday lights and activities, and of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus!
