Events

The City of Cripple Creek has a lively history of public celebration and events. You are invited to join us, as the City hosts numerous events that have differing themes and activities. Come watch live ice sculptors create works of art during our Ice Festival event. Prefer something warmer? Donkey Derby Days was a great way to kick off any fun-filled summer! Summer events have already featured our famous donkey races as well as a spectacular 4th of July firework show, and there's plenty more coming up.

Our military appreciation event is our way of saying "thank you" to the members of our armed forces and their families. We invite you to join us for this patriotic weekend of fun and live entertainment, historical re-enactments and solemn memorial. The annual Mine to Mine Challenge will have some of the fastest runners in the region competing for real nuggest of gold.

As summer gives way to fall, drive around the area and see why we're called the "World's Greatest Gold Camp" as our golden aspen put on a beautiful, picture-perfect show. And when all the fun and games are done, we have one more! The Gold Camp Christmas event, which is sure to keep your spirits bright with holiday lights and activities, and of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus!
