Birding

The Pikes Peak region offers some of the best birding in the Rocky Mountains.  The sights and sounds of the quiet back-country, streamside, or reservoir viewing will surely reward birders with unique sightings.

At an elevation between 6,000 - 14,000 feet, the diversity of species will delight any observer.  Migration routes and pristine habitat provide birds of the area the necessary conditions to thrive.  Birders looking for that rare opportunity to spot songbirds, birds of prey, and water fowl.  Many others enjoy the variety available in the area.
