A Car Show Featuring Vintage, Custom, and Classic Cars and Motorcycles. Live entertainment, Poker Run, Show’n Shine, and so much more!

Welcome to the 19th annual Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show.  With more than 200 cars, trucks, and motorcycles participating in the show, we're planning on making this event better than ever!  The show will start in Woodland Park, with a poker run to Cripple Creek and a street show that will continue into Sunday.  The fan fest in Cripple Creek will start at 1:00 p.m., with live entertainment, food vendors, and a beer garden that will provide the backdrop as Bennett Avenue becomes a car show of candy paints, vintage treasures, and muscled engines later Saturday afternoon.

Saturday evening will feature a street dance on Bennett Avenue.  Singer Arch Hooks, sponsored by Womack's Casino, will be performing, and event patrons are encouraged to participate in Saturday evening's award judging.  Bring the whole family and vote for your favorite cars, with trophies being awarded in the evening at the main stage.

A little history:

The Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show was organized in 1991 by the Chamber of Commerce of Woodland Park, Colorado (20 miles northwest of Colorado Springs on Highway 24).  Only five cars were entered in the show that year.  When the Chamber of Commerce withdrew from sponsoring the Car Show, the Above the Clouds Cruisers Car Club made a commitment to continue it.

The Above the Clouds Cruisers Car Club was officially organized in 1998 as a non-profit organization with a dedicated purpose of providing an annual car show for the benefit of local Colorado charities.  Since that time, the event has grown to a two-day car show with 200 to 250 car participation and hundreds of spectators.  Located in the heart of Woodland Park near City Hall (Henrietta and Fairview Streets), the Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show is held annually on the third Saturday in September.

The Car Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month to plan and monitor the progress of the yearly event.  Anyone with an interest in helping with the car show is invited to attend.

The car show can accommodate 300 vintage, custom or classic cars and motorcycles.  All parking is on hard surface streets and trailer parking is also available.

All registrants are entered into the door prize drawing and receive a goodie bag which includes a t-shirt, dash plaque and discount tickets to local merchants.  A DJ provides entertainment.  Food and merchandise vendors are available to help participants and spectators enjoy the show.  Following the Woodland Park show there is a Poker run to Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Lodging and many fine restaurants are available in Cripple Creek, Colorado.  Attendees cars can be left overnight on the main street (Bennett Avenue) which is secured by the Cripple Creek Police department. Cripple Creek hosts the continuation of the show on the following Sunday and always has great entertainment.

The Above the Clouds Cruisers Car Club of Teller County, Colorado would like to humbly thank the many, many sponsors, supporters, participants, and spectators for making the Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show a tremendous success!

Because of great generosity, the
Above the Clouds Cruisers Car Club was able to donate to several deserving local charities, including: The American Legion, The Aspen Mine Center, The Community Cupboard, Help the Needy, The Kiwanis Club, Prospect Home Health Care, The Rotary Club, and The Teller Senior Coalition.
